1. What is the shift response?

A Shift Response is an attempt to put focus and attention on yourself in a conversation.

2. What is Glazing Over?

Glazing Over is when the listener's mind wanders away from the speaker words at which time the listener is no longer actively listening.

3. Give an example of focused attention.

An example os focused attention would be a student in class actively listening to the professor lecturing by asking questions and taking notes.
